Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu released a logo for Krishna Pushkarams at CM office in Vijayawada on Saturday. Krishna River, also referred to universally as 'Krishnaveni' is the fourth biggest river in terms of water inflows and river basin area in India, after the Ganges, Godavari and Brahmaputra.
The logo reflected the river in flow and a devotee offering prayers, depicting the relationship between the river and people. The logo also depicts the speed, direction and flow of the river.
The Krishna Pushkaralu are planned based on the transit of Jupiter into Virgo. This year the pushkaralu will commence form 12th August 2016. The main pushkaralu will be organised for a total of 12 days and will end on 23rd August 2016.
Government of Andhra Pradesh has made some special arrangements during the last Krishna Pushkaralu which took place in the year 2004. As this is a festival which occurs for once in 12 years Government of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are planning heavy preparations so as to reduce the rush of pilgrims. As this holy festival Krishna Pushkaralu occurs only once in 12 years around 4-5 cores of people are expected to visit this pushkaralu from all over the India. Everyone has a belief that whoever visits the Krishna Pushkaram must take a holy dip in the river Krishna which improves their Physical and mental abilities.
